SEEK Summer Camp

SEEK Summer Camp opened its doors in 1999. It is a 20 day summer day program during the month of August for children between the ages of 4.7 to 13 years. During the summer camp, the children will have the opportunities to develop or enhance self-help skills, functional communication skills as well as building social skills.

The children are divided into small groups based on their age and functional abilities. Different activities are planned accordingly. The teacher to student ratio for the groups is kept at a maximum of 1 to 3. Oftentimes, the ratio is lower.

The 20 day program consists of water activities, arts and crafts, weekly outings to the movies, bowling alley and local businesses such as Chucke Cheeses, trips to the park and horse back riding. The teacher and student ratio is kept at 1:3 or lower.

SEEK Summer Camp offers two locations. One is in the area of El Monte. The other one is located in the city of Hacienda Heights.

Regional Center service coordinators are usually responsible to make the referral. You are encouraged to contact your service coordinator around April to secure a space for your child.
