SEEK CARE is an after school social recreation program. It provides children from the ages of 4 years and 7 months to 13 years a safe environment to have the opportunity to interact with peers with and without disabilities. It is where children with disabilities can also develop better functional and communication skills. We will support the child’s existing educational, social and recreational goals and objectives as established by the family, school or agencies such as Regional Center.
Through the opportunities to participate in events that will challenge and enrich the lives of special needs children, we are expecting the following outcomes: |

- Positive self-esteem: SEEK CARE believes that each child is special. Therefore we will demonstrate our philosophy in the daily caring for our children. Each individual will be treated with respect and with love.
- Increased social/functional skills: Children will be exposed to learning proper social behaviors such as greetings, making apologies, requesting for things, using proper language and/or gesture from our group activities which will be supported by professionals who have much experience working with children with special needs.
- Increase independence: Children will learn self-help skills such as feeding themselves, changing clothes, going to the bathroom, awareness of danger, etc.
- Increased play skills: Through activities, children will be exposed to turn taking and using play material properly.

SEEK CARE is a year round program with the exception of the month of August. A summer camp program is available during the month of August. Please see more information about SEEK Summer Camp on this website.) We operate from 12PM to 6PM Monday to Friday. All the major school holidays are observed by SEEK CARE. SEEK CARE has two locations. One is in the area of El Monte. The other one is located in the city of Hacienda Heights.
